Reduced a shot video of mine from 23mb to 2mb. Does what it says. A little bit of quality is lost of course but thats expected. Great app
Very ,good,THOES the job very well....
Great, easy-to-use app. To be a complete app, though, it should keep the following from the original video: 1. EXIF data 2. Slo-mo
Doesnt work. Downloaded it and was told I was missing a plugin. Support is non-existent. Dont waste your money. Ive never been so dissatisfied with an app.
I love this app. I can keep my videos with same quality less the size...brilliant.
Does a great job converting videos to smaller size, saving originals in the process. Users can choose their preferred frame rate, frame size and bit rate, adjusting each independently before converting. This gives great creative freedom. Well done!
Doesnt get past exporting stage, just sits there for literally hours and this is for a 30 second video
It quickly converted my 10 minute video that another app couldnt!
One of the best utilities you could possibly have on your phone. Works perfectly. Love the ability to select various facets of video so I can choose which part is degraded and which is not. I just shrank a 32mb video to 9mb and it still looks perfect. Didnt need to be 1080px. Looks fantastic at 720p and 24fps.
It successfully compressed my 30 minute video. I was thrilled, but it failed to ave to my camera roll. I tried multiple times, and each time it claimed to have successfully saved to my camera (it had access to my photos, so the problem wasnt in my settings). In the end, I can watch the compressed vid I the app, but cant save it, which is the point. Im sure its just a bug, but it makes the app useless.
First off I am very satisfied with what this app says it does. I use a software called Reflector to stream and record content from my iPad to my PC but for some reason the files dont work well with iPad apps like Pinnacle Studio and iMovie because of the size of the movie file. Enter Video Shrinker! On my iPad 3 I am able to pull off shrinking down my video files down to the size that I want with no problems at all. Also when I went back to use those files in iMovie and Pinnacle Studio the videos streamed and exported from those apps flawlessly which makes my workflow in video production much, much better :) Thanks Wander Bit for Video Shrinker as well as your crop video app which is only 99 cents.
The app functions well, but does not save to iPad camera roll. Can only view compressed video within the app, which makes it unusable. There are quite a number of similar apps that do transfer to Camera roll. Choose another if you need to use compressed video in other applications.
The 8.0.2 iphone system file ate up half a gig of my default storage space and now stuck with it so I really needed this. Tried it on two videos. Works great. Saves under photos for those who are interested.
So far Ive shrunk a huge mega file of 650 mega bites down to 100 mega bites. Hopefully it will be small enough to send via email.
Need to add: - batch processing - option to delete original as soon as you make reduced version; you have to go search through all your videos and then delete original - slider is hard to get frame size exactly where you want it...add some quick buttons below slider for common "720p", etc
Im an actor and do a lot of self taped auditions. When I cant tape with Skytown Entertainment I have use my iPhone or iPad, but the file sizes are to large to send via email. This app works great compressing the audition without loosing image quality. One improvement would be to label the compressed video to distinguish it from the original on the camera roll. Four stars only because slider opinions are not precise enough.
I have to say I really like this app except for one very irritating function. Heres the good stuff: It has a GREAT video file browser that allows you to see the file size and dimensions of all your videos in your video album. This is really nice. It does compress the videos really well with sliding adjustable settings for Frame Rate, Bit Rate and Frame Size. But Choosing an exact dimension with the Frame Size slider is extremely difficult. It would be impossible if trying to do it outdoors while jiggling around just a tiny bit. The Frame Size adjustment is way too coarse with the slider control. I like to resize the videos to fit iPhone 5 size 1136 X 640 and the way the sider works, it overruns the number (or any Frame Sized number) one way, then overruns it going the other way. Only the most microscopic of finger motions can let you choose the frame size you want. Its very difficult and frustrating. If this unfortunate behavior was absent and the Frame Size could be easily chosen, I would give this app 5 stars. Really nice... except for the Frame Size slider.
Software works but how to get it to work is not obvious. A better user interface would make it much easier to use
Frees up room and makes for easy upload and emailing of videos
